WILLISTON, S.C. -- Mrs. Lorene Birt Morris Ferguson, 80, of U.S. Highway 278, died Friday, June 18, 1999, at Providence Hospital.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Long Branch Baptist Church with the Revs. Gary Hanna and Malcolm Carter officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Ferguson, a native of Barnwell County, was a homemaker and a member of Long Branch Baptist Church, where she served as nursery director for several years.
Survivors include her husband, W.H. Ferguson; six sons, James H. Carroll, L.M. Morris and Lloyd E. Carroll, all of Barnwell, Cleveland Morris and Rogers Morris, both of Williston, and Jerry Ferguson, Lexington; five daughters, Virginia Hutto and Neta Rutland, both of Barnwell, Caroline Cramer, Charleston, Glorene Johnston {#199769384} , Alabama, and Docia Fountain, North Augusta; two brothers, Otis Birt, Trenton, and Marion Birt, Charleston; two sisters, Meta Hair, Williston, and Azilee Jowers, Greenville; and 37 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joel Hutto, Kenny Hutto, Billy Cramer, Jamie Rutland, John Rutland, Leighton Morris, Ricky Morris, Charles Morris, Jeremy Morris, Jay Cornell, Mark Cornell, Roger Johnston, Eddie Fountain, J.L. Fountain, Terry Fountain, Lloyd E. Carroll Jr. and James E. Carroll.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Folk Funeral Home.
