Funeral services for Charlie Cleveland Morris, 67, of Buck Creek, SC will be held two p.m., Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Long Branch Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210. Cleveland passed away Thursday, February 23, 2012.

Born in Barnwell County, he was a son of the late Leighton Morris and Lorene Birt Morris. Cleveland served in the National Guard, was a carpenter having formerly worked at the Savannah River Site, was a farmer and a member of Long Branch Baptist Church. He was a member of the Carpenter's Local Union # 537 and an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Brenda Bolen Morris; daughter, Tracie M. (Rodney) Glisson of Lexington; sons, Rev. Charles Leighton Morris of Barnwell and Jeremy Cleveland Morris of Williston; grandchildren, Christopher, Joshua, Sheldon and Parker Glisson, Layla Elizabeth Morris; sisters, Virginia Hutto, Caroline Cramer, Neda Rutland, Glorene Johnston; brothers, L. M. (Linda) Morris, Rogers Morris; a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa A. Morris and a grandson, J. C. Morris.
