Final rites are being accorded this Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Johnson-Van Natta Funeral Home for Mrs. N. B. Byerhof, 75, highly esteemed life long resident of Sycamore vicinity, who passed away Tuesday evening at the local municipal hospital, where she was taken December 14 following a paralytic stroke.

The Rev. Wayne Leighty of the Methodist church will officiate and burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.

She was born March 24, 1876 in rural Sycamore, the daughter, of Herman and Rosella Benson. On November 12, 1895 she was married to William Hinkle of Sycamore, who passed away in October of 1932. They lived on the Benson homestead farm for 37 years. In September of 1941 she was united in marriage to N. B. Byerhof of DeKalb. Ten years ago they moved to their present home at 433 Washington Place.

Mrs. Byerhof was a woman of high ideals and was deeply devoted to her home and family. Her kindly traits of character won for her many friends. She was a devoted member of the local Methodist church, also a member of Dustin Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.

Besides her husband, she leaves three children, Harold Hinkle of DeKalb; Mrs. James (Marie) McConn, Sycamore; and Mrs. Harold (Myrtle) Johnson, Kingston; also 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren of whom she was very fond. One son died in Infancy.

The decedent was the last of a family of 12 children.
