Born in Sugar City, Idaho, the son of John Lloyd and Amy Jaques Roberts, Luther Ensign Roberts, 95, passed away Saturday in Weiser. Married Enid Hadlock October 25, 1937 in the Salt Lake City, Utah LDS Temple. Celebrating their 68th wedding anniversary in 2005 and were separated only forty days by death.

Attended school in Sugar City and graduated from Sugar-Salem High School. Skilled and innovative farmer making many adaptations to equipment and farming operations. Served on the Idaho Potato and Onion Commission, the Soil Conservation Service and Nyssa/Nampa beet growers association. Faithfully fulfilling his responsibilities throughout his life for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Enriched many choirs and quartets with his deep, bass voice.

Survived by five sons: Lloyd (Adelia) Roberts, Bradley (Lyla) Roberts, Sidney (Brenda) Roberts, Boyd (Amy) Roberts, and Spencer (Teresa) Roberts; two daughters: Leola (Ralph) Rowley and Dorothy (John) Mitchell; 36 grandchildren, seventy-six great-grandchildren, one great great grandchild; brother: Wesley Roberts. Predeceased by wife, Enid; parents: Lloyd and Amy; four brothers: John, Alph, Ray and Lee; eight sisters: Mila and Leona (who died in childhood) Esther Smack, June Albano, Grace Davenport, Elva Huskinson, Merle Parkinson, and Ruth Sessions and a grandson, Kevin Roberts.

Interment in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Weiser.
