Clarence O. Anderson
Clarence O. Anderson, 85, lifelong Chetek resident, died Thursday, May 18, 1995, at Knapp Haven Nursing Home.
He was born April 19, 1910, in Sioux Creek Township, Wisconsin. He married Alice J. O. Jensen on October 10, 1937, in Chetek, and had farmed and worked as a mechanic and carpenter. He had been a lifelong member of the Sons of Norway Lodge.
Survivors include two son, Virgil (Laura) of Stillman Valley, Illnois and Vernon (Susan) of Glenwood City; three daughters, Velma Poling of Montrose, West Virginina, Violet Anderson of Manchester, New Hampshire and Valorie (Thomas) Lindelien of Pine City, Minnesota; two brothers Arthur L. (Bernice) Anderson and Willis (Ceilia) Anderson, Chetek; two sisters Doris Ranney of Chetek and Bertha Pierson of Waco, Texas; 12 grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Alice in 1992 and two brothers.
Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. from Dovre Lutheran Church, rural Chetek, with Pastor Ron Gerl officiating. Burial was made in the church cemetery.
The Burnham-Ours Funeral Home, Chetek, handle arrangements.
