Bertha N Pierson, 86, of Waco, Texas, formerly of Menomonie,died Tuesday,September 29, 1998 at Ridgecrest Retirement and Health Care Center in Waco.
The former Bertha Nora Anderson was born July 4, 1912, in the Town of Sand Creek, Dunn County, to Albert and Lena Anderson. She married Walter Pierson on March 9, 1935, in the Town of Sand Creek.
Bertha was a lifelong resident of Dunn County and a homemaker. She also retired from Sanna Dairies after 20 years of service.
She spent her latter years in Orlando, Florida and Waco with her daughter, Judy and son in law Jim Johnson.
Bertha is survived by two sons and one daughter, Jerome (Audrey) Pierson of Glenwood City, Ronald (Judy) Pierson of River Falls, and Judy(Jim) Johnson of Waco; a sister Doris Ranney of Chetek; a brother, Willis Anderson of Chetek; three sisters in law, Bernice Anderson, Yvonne Anderson and Ceile Anderson, all of Chetek; either granchildren; four great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter, four brothers, Ernest, Clarence, Art and Gilman Anderson; and a granddaughter, Brenda Pierson.
Funerals services were Saturday, at Christ Lutheran Church in Menomonie with the Rev Rolf Morck officiating. Burial was in The Lutheran Cemetery in Eau Claire.
