Obituary from the Illinois State Journal
Dated: 1 June 1932
Virden, May 31._ Mrs. Edith Jane Evans, 77, died at her home, 932 Noble Street, this city at 7:30 o'clock this morning.
she is survived by her husband, William Francis Evans; 3 daughters: Mrs. Izora Robinson of Raymond; Mrs. Henry Davidson of Burnette; and Mrs. Rose Hughes of Grand Island Neb. 6 sons: Frank of Farmersville; William, Roy and Chester of Franklin; Cecil of Donaldson; and Russell at home; 1 sister: Mrs. Mary Eldredige of Waukeegan; 35 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
The remains were removed to the Berry Funeral Home where services will be held at 10 o'clock Thursday morning.
Rev L.G. Hueston will officiate and interment will be made in Virden Cemetery.
