Published in The Alton Evening Telegraph, Alton, IL, Monday, March 1, 1965 - Mrs. Betty Jean Heaton, 31, wife of Earl Heaton, Rte 1, Meadowbrook, died Saturday at 5 p.m. in St. Joseph's Hospital. She had been hospitalized for five and one-half weeks.

Mrs Heaton, who had lived in the Meadowbrook area for 10 years was born in Columbus, Ky., a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Cole.

In addition to her husband and parents, who live at Meadowbrook,, are a daughter, Starlet Jean Heaton and a son, Jimmy Louis Murphy; a brother, Bob, Meadowbrook; and two sisters, Mrs. Pansy Logsdon and Miss Hilda Cole, Meadowbrook.

The body is at Marks Mortuary where services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Father E. J. Douglas officiating. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens.
