DALLAS CENTER -- A funeral for Wilbur Levi (Pete) Mash, 63, of Dallas Center was held Jan. 9, 1989 at Brandt Funeral Home at Dallas Center. Mr. Mash died at Parkview Manor at Woodward on Jan. 6. Burial was in the Brethren Cemetery at Dallas Center.

Born at Summersville, Mo. on Sept. 21, 1925, he was the son of Tom and Lola Anderson Mash. He married Lois Sheary on Dec. 7, 1945. He was a farmer, and also was employed by Brenton Farms, Arrow Trucking, Hillcrest Golf and Country Club, Dallas County Care Facility and HyLine. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and a sister.

Survivors include his wife, Lois; a daughter, Debbie Dillinger of Dallas Center; three sons, Dick and Ronny, both of Dallas Center and Lenny of Des Moines; a brother, Herbert Mash of Burns, Tenn.; seven sisters, Pearl Greif, Hazel Findley and JoAnn Thomas, all of Dallas Center, Irene Emehiser of Adel, and Alice Russell, Willmetta Crigler and Louise Scott, all of Des Moines; and nine grandchildren.
