Dorothy worked at Wilcox Nursing Home for many years as a House Keeper and Cook, before her retirement. She enjoyed walking, puzzles and her beloved cats. She especially loved spending time with her family.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 61 years, William of Alma, five children, Connie (Jim) Rhodes of Flowood, MS, Pamela (Dwight) Shepherd of Alma, William Kienitz of Alma, Kevin (Jane) Kienitz of Zephyr Hills, FL and Lori (David) Seeley of Shepherd, seven grandchildren Erika, Jessi, Carlee, Billy, Cody, Vinny, Joe and ten great grandchildren. Also her siblings, Richard (Beverly) Anderson of White Cloud, Arlene Soloman of Alma, Arnold Anderson of St. Louis, Dale (Millie) Anderson of Flint, Basil (Beverly) Anderson of Perrinton and Louis Anderson of Alma and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Debra Murphy, a granddaughter, Halee Shepherd, great granddaughter Taylor Shepherd siblings, Clarence, Gordon, Gerald, Dorothea, Howard, Gale and Ronald Anderson, Loureen Woods and Betty Baur.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 1 pm at the Lux-Moody Wolfel Funeral Home, Alma with Pastor Carl Cecil officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4-8 pm at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Schnepp Senior Care and Rehab Center.
