Norma G. Ferguson, 86, Marion, passed away at 6:22 p.m., Monday, May 4, 2015, in Wesleyan Health and Rehab Center. She was born in Marion to the late Paul and Gertrude (Holley) Spaulding. On January 24, 1948, she married Charles “Pepper” Ferguson; he preceded her in death on April 8, 1984.
Norma attended Marion High School and worked at RCA Electronics for 37 years, and GE for 2 years. She was very family oriented, and loved family get-togethers: lunch on Friday at her sister Evelyn’s house, and prior to that, it was Saturday Breakfast at her parents’ house. She was a member of the Euchre Club, Poker Club, RCA Sympathy Club and bowled for several years in leagues on Thursday nights, at Crest Lanes. She attended Cowboy Church with her siblings at Grace Community Church, and enjoyed her Vegas trips.
She is survived by her son, Ernie (Janet) Ferguson, Marion; daughter, Shannon (Jamie) Clariett, Marion; sister, Marcella (Pete Harris) Harstine, Marion; brothers, Raymond “Bud” (Joan) Spaulding, Marion and Wayne (Mary) Spaulding, Jonesboro; grandchildren, Shelley (Rick) Rauch, Noblesville, Tammy (Mark) Fagan, Marion, Jalen Clariett, Marion and Justin Clariett, Marion; great-grandchildren, Karsen and Maddie Rauch and Jackson “J.D.” Fagan; great-great granddaughter, Ava Clariett, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Norma was preceded in death by her daughter, Vickie Ferguson; sisters, Virginia (Bud) Eib, Vivian (Vic) Pherson, and Evalyne (Delbert) Furnish, and brother, Robert Harold Spaulding.
Services for Norma will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 8, 2015 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN 46952. Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park.
