She was born in Marion to the late Paul and Gertrude (Holley) Spaulding and has been a life resident of Marion.
She married Victor Pherson on Feb. 8, 1936. He preceded her in death April 30, 1990.
She retired from Indiana Bell in 1980 after years of service. She was a member of Mount Olive United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, Telephone Pioneers and AARP.
Most of all, she will forever be remembered for the love she gave her family and the joy she took from being around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

(Paul) Biddle, Marion; daughter-in-law, Velma (Henry) McFarland; brothers, Wayne (Mary) Spaulding, Jonesboro, and Bud (Joann) Spaulding, Marion; sisters, Evelyn Furnish, Jonesboro, Norma Ferguson and Markie Harstine, both of Marion; grandchildren, Debbie (Tom) Allan, Donna (Dick) Tinkle, Dawn Keller, DeLisa (Jim) Winters, David (Cindy) Pherson, Doug Masters, Julie (Joel) Gearhart, Kenny (Jodi) Pherson, Michelle (Mike) Baxter and Frank (Danielle) Biddle; 37 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
