Our community was startled at the announcement that Charles LeClair was dead. He was about his usual business when he was taken ill. Medical aid was summoned but all efforts failed to revive him. Mr LeClair was born in the town of Mexico 65 years ago. The greater part of his life was spent in the town of Parish, living in the village for about 30 years. He leaves to mourn his loss a widow, eight children, one brother and two sisters in Iowa. Charles possessed many desirable qualities. He was a kind and affectionate husband and a genial pleasant gentleman, a good neighbor and an honest businessman. He had hosts of friends and scarcely an enemy. Charley was interred in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery
