July 6, 1897 at the home of her son F. A. Butler, widow of the late Charles LeClair and L.A. Butler died. Predeceased was also a daughter Mary Alsever. Mrs. Leclair was born in Parish in 1832. She married L A Butler in 1850 who died in 1861 leaving her with four children. In 1876, she married Charles LeClair. On Nov 11, 1894, he passed away. She then moved to be with her daughter Mrs Milo Kern of Dakota with her granddaughter Miss Nellie Alsever. In May past, an invalid of pernicious anemia, she returned to the home of her son F. A. Butler. Interment was in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery in the Butler plot.
