Ivan E. Thomas, 85, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005, at his Peoria residence.
Born Sept. 15, 1920, in Secor, Ill., to Adam H. and Martha (Fischer) Thomas, he married May L. Feuchter on Oct. 17, 1948, in Mossville, Ill. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Robert Thomas; three daughters, Marilyn (Larry) Kauffman, Jeannie (Rick) Dorsey and Linda Thomas; and one brother, Harlan (Mazie) Thomas.
Ivan was an electrician for Oberlander Electric. In 1966, he co-founded American Rental Centers in Peoria and owned and operated the stores.
He served in the Army during WWII in the 231st Gen. Hospital Division, serving in the European Theater and the Asian-Pacific Theater.
Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.
