PEORIA - Ella Mabel Wagler, 88, of Burlington, Iowa, formerly of Peoria, died at 2:33 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2004, at Prairie Ridge Care and Rehab Center in Mediapolis, Iowa.
Born Jan. 15, 1916, in Secor to Adam Henry and Martha Sara Fischer Thomas, she married Alvin Paul Wagler on Nov. 19, 1967, in Peoria. He died Oct. 30, 2002.
She also was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are two brothers, Ivan Thomas and Harlan Thomas, both of Peoria; and one sister, Rose Steiner of Oakville, Iowa.
Before her marriage, she was a secretary for Hiram Walker & Sons for 25 years. She and her husband owned and operated Wagler Upholstery in Burlington, retiring in 1988.
She was a member of Apostolic Christian Church in Burlington.
Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to her church.
