Burley R. Jordan, lifelong resident of Shelby county and resident of this city for 15 years, died at his home, 1117 Elm street, at 2:30 p.m. Monday. Ill for six months but death, attributed to pulmonary hemorrhage.

Retired farmer, was born near Flat Rock September 21, 1886, a son of Philander and Prudence Jordan.

Married September 12, 1912, to Amy Holder who survives with two daughters, Mrs. Prudence Harrison of Franklin and Mrs. Kathryn Franklin of Muncie.

Also surviving: 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 2 sisters, Mrs. Grace Beatty, Shelbyville, and Mrs. Anna Treon of Mt. Auburn.

Member of the West Street Methodist Church.

Interment: Forest Hill cemetery.
