Jessie William Long, 67, 1032 Church St., died at 10:45 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, 1996, at St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center.

Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home will conduct graveside services at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, at Providence Cemetery.

Mr. Long was born March 8, 1929, in Paris, a son of Jonathan Levi and Rosie Lee Corn Long.

He attended Chicota schools and was a Protestant. He worked as a construction worker for Austin Industries of Dallas over 25 years before joining David Buster Construction Co. of Paris in 1980.

He married Ruby Allene Barcigalupia in Paris June 19, 1948. She died March 23, 1996.

Surviving are five daughters; Dorothy Woodard of Austin; Eunice Godsey of Paris, Brenda Stamper of Garland, Lorance Jones of Brookston and Sabrina Little of Brookston; a son, Ernest Long of Paris; 16 grandchildren: six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy Wear of Paris and Minnie Lee of Arkansas and one brother, Charlie Long of Paris.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two children.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Buster, Ed Pierce, John Roney, Mike Sarano and Bill Graham.
