Mrs. Clowson retired from Sylvania in 1971, after 27 years' service.
She was born Feb. 6, 1909, in Sugar Run, Duncansville, the daughter of Andrew and Jennie (Hardy) Bougher, and Jan. 28, 1926, married John W. Clowson, who died Oct. 19, 1981.
Surviving are six children: Jennie Bookhamer of Littleton, Colo.; Eleanor Airey of Levittown; John D. of Westminster, Colo.; Barbara Settlemyer of Lancaster, N.Y.; Gerald of Newark, Del., and Ralph of Broomfield, Colo.; 20 randchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving Is a brother, Harry of Altoona.
Mrs. Clowson was a member of Hicks Memorial United Methodist Church, Duncansville.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Donald E. Llebegott Funeral Home, Duncansville.
CLOWSON — Services for Blanche L. Clowson, formerly of Duncansville RD 3, will be held at 11 a,m. Thursday In the Donald E. Llebegott Funeral Home Inc., Duncansville, by the Rev. John Dromazos. Interment in Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday In the funeral home.
