AARON HOEL
Aaron Hoel, 83, died at 10:55 a.m. today at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Irving Dow, 1019 Conger street.
Mr. Hoel was born in Illinois May 22, 1846. He came to Iowa and settled on a farm near Rudd in 1875 and resided there until he retired 23 years ago. At that time he removed to Waterloo. Mr. Hoel was married to Emily Skelton at Danville, Ill., in 1867. She preceded him in death by four years.
Surviving besides the daughter, Mrs. Dow, are six sons, Arthur and Leonard, Waterloo; Edward, Osage; John, Floyd; Frank, Orchard, and David, Rockford, Ill., and 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The body is at O'Keefe & Towne mortuary. It will be taken to Rudd for burial in the family plot.

Pioneer Settler Is Buried at Evergreen Cemetery Near Rudd
RUDD, June 13- Funeral services for Aaron Hoel, pioneer settler in this vicinity, who died Tuesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Stella Dow, at Waterloo, following a stroke, were conducted at the local Methodist Episcopal church this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. G. A. Hess of Charles City had charge of the services. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery northwest of Rudd.
