OSAGE — Funeral rites will be Thursday at 2 p. m. at the Baptist Church in Osage for Ed Hoel, 82, who died Monday night at his home from uremic poisoning; had been ill prior to this; burial in Osage Cemetery.

He was born in August, 1872, at Oxford, Ind., to Aaron and Emily Hoel; as a child accompanied his parents to a farm near Rudd.

He married Ann Wilk Dec. 7, 1893, and the couple lived near Osage; she preceded him in death in January, 1941, and on Dec. 7 of that year he married his sister-in-law, Mrs.
Eliza Hoel.

He leaves his widow; one daughter; Mrs. Donald Stokes, of Mitchell; six stepchildren; 15 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; three brothers: David, Rockford, Ill.; Arthur, 1315 Lafayette, Waterloo; and Frank, Nora Springs; one sister, Mrs. Irving Dow, 322 Gable, Waterloo.

Preceding him were four brothers and two sisters.
