Doris, 84, of Weidman passed away with her family by her side Sunday, October 12, 2014 at her home under Woodland Hospice care.
Funeral Services for Doris were held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Thursday, October 16, 2014, with Rev. Kevin Smith from the Gilmore Church of Christ officiating.

Doris was the daughter of John and Carrie (Kent) Sheldon. She married Joseph Wilmot on April 15, 1950. Doris retired as a cook from the Chippewa Hills School District in Weidman and Barryton.
She was a member of Tops, Red Hats, and the Gilmore Church of Christ. She loved spending time with her family. Doris enjoyed decorating her home for the Holidays, throwing tea parties, cooking, gardening, reading, scrap booking, and treasured "Grandma Thursdays".
Doris is survived by her children, Danny (Betty) Wilmot of Weidman, Kerry Wilmot of Mt. Pleasant, and Linda (Jeff) Helmer of Lake; grandchildren, Amy Sims, Jason (Virginia) Wilmot, Joe (Sirah) Wilmot, Brian (Ben Nolin) Wilmot, Jennifer Helmer, and Paul (Nicole) Helmer; great-grand children, Taylor Helmer, Hannah Sims, Alexis Helmer, Maci Wilmot, Willow Dowell, and Courtney Lang and her mother, Marcy; and special friend, Betty Sponseller.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; parents; 3 brothers; and 6 sisters.
