Services for Mr. Koenecke will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Dunnell, with the Rev. Merlin Olson officiating. Interment will be in Lake Fremont Cemetery, Dunnell.
Friends may call at Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville after 1:30 p.m. Saturday and at the church after 12:30 p.m. until time of services Sunday.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry J. Koenecke, he was born July 4, 1912 at Dunnell. He received his education in Dunnell schools and worked in a hardware store and farmed in the Dunnell area following school. He also served with the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during World War II. He retired from farming and moved into Dunnell in 1967. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Dunnell.
Mr. Koenecke Is survived by four brothers, Verner Koenecke, Dunnell, Lavern Koenecke, Estherville, Earl Koenecke, Welcome, Minn., and Orville Koenecke, Jackson, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. Donald (Geraldine) Fisher and Mrs. John (Arlene) McCarthy, both of Estherville; and 15 nieces and nephews.
