Services for Verner Manford Koenecke, 81, of Dunnell, will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in Immanuel Lutheran Church at Dunnell with Pastor Sharon Worthington officiating. Interment will be in Lake Fremont Township Cemetery, rural Dunnell. He died Sunday, Dec. 29, 1991 at Clarinda Health Center, Clarinda, Iowa. Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home of Estherville is in charge of arrangements.

He was born May 15, 1910 near Huntington, Iowa, the son of Henry and Signe (Johnson) Koenecke and attended Dunnell School. He lived most of his life in the Dunnell area where he worked for several farmers. He never married. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Dunnell.

Survivors include two brothers: Lavern Koenecke and wife, Helen, of Estherville and earl and wife, Pat, of Welcome, Minn. One sister, Arlene McCarty, Estherville.
