Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville.
He was born May 13, 1922 at Dunnell, Minn., the son of Henry and Signe (Johnson) Koenecke. He attended Dunnell area country schools. He served in the United States Army during World War Two. O Oct. 30, 1948 he married Helen Wood at Emmetsburg. The couple made their home in Estherville all their married life. He was employed at John Morrell’s Co. for over 30 years, retiring in 1981. His wife died Sept. 21, 1997.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Peggy) Nyman of Otto; sons: Dennis of Estherville; Duane of Sache, Texas and Alan of Burt; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
