Oct. 15, 1927 ~ Dec. 31, 2012
Rex C Moulton, 85, passed away on December 31, 2012 at home in Provo, Utah. He was born October 15, 1927 in Heber City, Utah to Hyrum Chase Moulton and Margaret Lillian Cummings Moulton. He was the 8th of 11 children.

Rex grew up in Salt Lake City and graduated from South High. He worked in Alaska to pay for college at BYU where he and four siblings began as freshmen the same year. He served in the Western States Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and later became a master carpenter, working for many decades as a general contractor.

Rex married Jacqueline May Dansie in 1954 in the Salt Lake LDS temple. In 1968, they moved with their four children to New Zealand for a grand adventure that changed their lives forever. While there, Rex supervised the building of four chapels (Pipiwai, Omahu, Wainuiomata, and Manurewa). Rex loved to explore and took his family around the world, visiting six continents and more than forty countries. He was known wherever he went as a generous, noble, resourceful, and principled man.
Rex is survived by his wife, Jackie, their children Michelle Young (Steve), Jaret Moulton (Melissa), Dayna Wheatley (Micah), Tyler Moulton (Heather), seventeen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. His surviving siblings are Maxine Owen Webb, Floyd Chase Moulton, E. Jay Moulton, Mardene Folkersen Provost, and Dale E. Moulton. Those greeting him on the other side are Norma Montgomery, Fern Chapman, Deaun Weed, Evelyn McDougal and Duane Moulton.

A memorial service will be held at the Holladay 26th Ward chapel, (4601 S. 2565 E., Holladay, Utah) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 4th. Family and friends are invited to visit beginning at 5:00 p.m. Interment will have already taken place at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
