JOHN GALLAGHER DIES IN ILLINOIS; FUNERAL IS HELD IN DOUGHERTY

Dougherty, Nov. 3 - John Dougherty, a former resident of here died Friday at his home in Rockford, Ill. The body was brought here to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Will Kelly and funeral service held Sunday morning at St. Patrick's Church with the Rv. J.J. Collins officiating.

Mr. Gallagher was born in August, 1862, in County Donegal, Ireland. When 22 years of age, he came to Iowa and on Feb. 11, 1890, was married to Miss Susan McCarren of this place. They lived in this vicinity until 1920, they moved to Sedan, Minn., and in 1929 to Rockford, Ill., where he resided until death.

He is survived by his wife, and 12 children, Theresa, Franzee, Minn., Helen, Sauk Center, Minn., James, Leonard, Ed, Kathleen, and Genevieve, Rockford, Ill., Mrs. Will Kelly, John, Bernard, Raymond of this place and Mrs. H. McCarthy, Rockford.
