Manse J. Bellaver, 72, of Nokomis, a former Hillsboro resident, died at 1:25 p.m. Wednesday at Golden Manor nursing home in Nokomis, following an extended illness.

Funeral Saturday
Funeral services were held at ten o'clock Saturday morning at St. Agnes Catholic church here. The Rev. Leonard Rathgeb officiated and burial was in St. Agnes cemetery. Bass funeral home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Bellaver was a son of the late Matteo and Mary (Cora) Bellaver and was born at Export, Pa., on May 8, 1898. He was 72 years, seven months and two days of age when he died.

He came to Hillsboro when he was six years old and lived here until moving to Nokomis in 1941. He was a coal miner and later held a state job. He lived in Springfield from 1961 to 1966 and had been in Nokomis since then.

On June 30, 1926 he was united in marriage with Rosella C. Roseman at Hillsboro and she died May 27, 1969. Surviving are two daughters, Gloria Joan, wife of Gerald Mehochko of Belleville and Mary Ann, wife of Eugene Johnson of Nokomis and five grandchildren, George A., Gerald E. and Mary Ann Mehochko of Belleville and Karl and Kurt Johnson of Nokomis. He also leaves three brothers, Harry Bellaver, television and movie actor, of Tappan, N. Y., John of Hillsboro and Tony of Kenosha, Wis., and two sisters, Mrs. Lena Dal Centon of Hillsboro and Mrs. Blanche Dallasanta of Kenosha, Wis. A sister, Mrs. Theresa Scopel and a brother, Bill, are deceased.

He was a member of St. Louis Catholic church at Nokomis and of the Nokomis Knights of Columbus.
