Earl Clifton Abbe was the Vice President and General Superintendent of the Moore Drop Forge Company, Springfield, Massachusetts. He was an extremely social person with many friends. He played the violin in his youth and courted his wife-to-be by playing the violin with her. The transportation for their honeymoon was a horse and buggy.
