Connell died about 5 a.m. Sunday in an accident near Del Rio on U.S. 90.
The County Line native had lived in the Abernathy area all his life. He was an insurance underwriter, president of the Abernathy Booster Club and a member of County Line Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Connell of Abernathy; two sons, a daughter; two sisters and a brother.
