1. Mary Ann Hemler (1805-1892) was born in Maryland/D.C., which is probably why she doesn't appear in the Conewago Chapel baptism records. She married David Potts Grady (1793-1958) in 1823. (Daughters of the American Revolution Lineage Book : NSDAR : Volume 100 : 1913)

2. Hillary Hemler (1808 - 1880) was also born in Washington D.C. like his elder sister.

5. John Adams Hemler, Jr. (1822 - 1884) was born in Paoli, Orange County, Indiana.

6. Elizabeth Hemler and her brother John (above) were baptized on July 10, 1825 at Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Sommerset, Ohio. Elizabeth was sponsored by John Adams and Elizabeth Fink, while John was sponsored by Apolonia Adams. Both are listed as children of John Hemler and Catherine Adams. J. T. Reily Historical Society, Research Bulletin #58, Sept. 1996, "Some Baptismal Records of St. Joseph Church, Sommerset, Ohio, Abstracted from letters of Don Snider, New Albany, Ohio"

John Hemler of Orange County, Indiana wrote his last will and testament on March 16, 1823, which was submitted to the probate court on April 21, 1823. The will mentions his wife Catharine and unnamed children.

Since two of John's children were baptized in Sommerset, Ohio in 1825, two years after his death in Paoli, Indiana, it seems as though his wife and children moved back there to be closer to her family, the Adams, who were the baptismal sponsors for their two youngest children.
