Fell Gravely Ill While on Way From Store to Her Home in Jerome Monday
Mrs. Ollie Dooley, widow of Frank Dooley, deceased, fell critically ill while walking home from the Warrick store at 3:00 o clock Monday at Jerome, and died very shortly afterward. She was stricken with a sudden heart attack.
Mrs. Dooley who was 75 years of age, had returned a short time before from visiting at Ottumwa with her daughter.
The elderly woman had been a resident of Jerome for many years and had a wide circle of friends and relatives there and elsewhere. She had been living alone following the death of her husband.
She is survived by eight children, who are Mrs. A.A. Olson, of Ottumwa, Mrs. J.H. Lawton, of Peoria, Pearl and Earnest, of Jerome, Dewey, of Centerville, Roscoe and Earl of Illinois, and Grover of Moravia.
She also leaves one sister, Mrs. L. Martin, of Mystic.
Mrs. Dooley was a member of the Methodist church and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services are to be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. from the Methodist church at Jerome and burial will be in the Jerome cemetery. The body will be taken to the home in Jerome tomorrow to lie in state until time for the last rites.
