James Kolars, son of Joseph and Frances Tuma Kolars was born near Munden on January 12, 1894, and died February 13, 1975, at the Northview Rest Home, McPherson, at the age of 81 years, 1 month and 1 day.
He received his education at Kunkle School in Jefferson township, Republic County. He was never married. He was engaged in farming and made a home near Wayne, for his aged mother until his health failed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Frank, Milek, and Joe; four sisters, Anna Tuma, Josie Kauer, Frances Cecrle, and Emma Novak.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Adolph (Mary) Blecha of Belleville.
Funeral services were held at the Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart Memorial Chapel of Belleville conducted by the Rev. John Frint. Interment was made in National Bohemian cemetery.
