Mrs. Banchoff, age 87 years, passed away Monday February 24, 2014 at Heavenly Home Assisted Living following a lingering illness. She was born in Gladwin on December 3, 1926 to the late Guy B. & Bertha I. (Cassiday) VanHorn. She married Thomas Banchoff on August 10, 1946 in Gladwin, he preceded her in death on March 25, 2005. Donna lived most of her life in Gladwin except for a short time in Flint. She was a former member of the Gladwin Baptist Church and worked at the Huber Dairy.
She is survived by her children Sandra & Glen Searfoss and Gary & Lorie Banchoff; grandchildren Dawn & Mike Schneider and Chad & Shelly Banchoff Aaron Prieskorn, Kenneth Prieskorn, Alan Nunn, Brandon Nunn and Rossjack Nunn; great grandchildren Travis Schneider, Devin Banchoff, Felicia Reese, Skylar Ann Banchoff, Kenneth Jr., Justin and Gage Prieskorn, Alex, Trent and Tristen Nunn. She was preceded in death by her sisters Betty Hopadore, Maggie Swanstra, Hilda Wandry and Irene VanHorn.
Funeral Services will be held Friday February 28, 2014 at 11 am from Sisson Funeral Home with Pastor Harold Owens presiding with burial in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday at the funeral home from 2 to 7 pm and Friday 10 am until time of services.
