Born June 7, 1919, in Camden County, Missouri, the daughter of Porter and Bertha Alma (Wall) George, she passed away Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at Alexian Brothers Hospital, Elk Grove Village. She graduated from Southwest Missouri State Teachers College, and taught school in Union, Mo. before joining the Navy in 1944.
She was stationed at Pearl Harbor, Oahu, Hawaii for the duration of World War II.
Gail was a longtime resident of Westchester, Ill., before moving to Schaumburg. For the past few years, Gail has resided at Manor Care of Elk Grove.

Gail is survived by her sons, Joe (Terri) and Dane (Mary Jean) Del Principe; grandchildren, Kristy, Jodie and Mike Del Principe; two sisters, Fern Ballenger and Ruby Windes; plus many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Del Principe Sr.; her granddaughter, Jamie Del Principe; and her sisters, Clarice Appling, Marie Walker, Floy Murphy-Landreth and Thetis George.
