Born at Croton Lake which no longer exists; now under the existing Croton Dam. Died at his home on Hawkes Avenue. Worked for 18 years for New York Central and prior to that he was construction superintendent for the Second Avenue Railway in NYC. Celebrated his 50th Golden wedding anniversary on December 9, 1934. He was my great grandfather and although I never met him, his name was frequently mentioned by my father and other relatives.
