John W. Pyle, 81, of 228 Walter Lane, Springdale, died Tuesday Sept. 3, 1996, in Butler County Memorial Hospital.
Born June 6, 1915, in Derry, he was a son of the late William S. Pyle and Leona (Woodrow) Pyle.
He worked at West Penn Power in Springdale before retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Springdale Presbyterian Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Ramsey Pyle; four brothers, Howard, Glenn, Eugene and Robert; two sisters, Grace Latimer and Mary Dandoy; and a great-granddaughter, Merrilee Marcy.
He is survived by two daughters, Judith Marcy of Springdale and Mrs. Anthony (Mary Lee) Salatl of New Kensington; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held at the Charles B. Jarvie Funeral Home and at Deer Creek Cemetery, Harmar.
