William Scott Pyle
William Scott Pyle, 81, 201 Sixth Ave., Derry, died Monday at 5:45 p.m. in Latrobe Hospital.
Born March 31, 1875, he was the son of the late William W. and Laura Jane Scott Pyle. He was a member of the Derry Presbyterian Church and the B. of L.E., Derry. The deceased was a retired Railroad Engineer with 42 years of service. His wife, Leona, died in 1945.
Surviving are these children: L. Glenn, Santa Anna, Calif.; Eugene, Clarence, N.Y.; John W., Springdale; Robert W., Derry; Mrs. Wilbur, (Grace) Latimer, Blairsville; Mrs. George (Mary) Dandoy, Latrobe; 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild. These brothers and sisters also survive: Lee Pyle, Coraopolis; J.O. Pyle, Santa Anna, Calif.; R. Wallace, Tennessee; Mrs. Anna L. Malone, Sewickley; Mrs. Florence Milligan, Sewickley.
Friends will be received at the Charles J. Hughes Funeral Home, Derry, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily until Thursday at 2 p.m. when services will be held there in charge of the Rev. Lee Irwin Shaffer.
Interment will follow in Coles Cemetery, Derry.
