Mr. Hoover was born Jan. 30, 1873, in Lisbon, a son of Jonathan and Mary Hoover, pioneers of the community, and had lived there all his life. He had been in produce business in recent years. Mr. and Mrs. Hoover were married in Lisbon Nov. 27, 1895.
Children surviving them are Guy Hoover of Muscatine, Mrs. Claire Achey of Pasadena, Calif., and Mrs. Gene Carbee of Pasadena.
Mr. Hoover is survived by four brothers, John H. Hoover of Cedar Rapids, Frank of Alhambra, Calif., Will of Mount Vernon and Estel of Lisbon, and two sisters, Mrs. W. H. Runkle and Mrs. W. L. Kynett, both of Lisbon.
