Dorothy Anna (Close) (Titch) Truesdell, 81, of Delhi, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 21, after a long illness.
The daughter of Elton Close and Nettie Van Keuren, she was born in Dunraven.
She graduated from Margaretville Central School in 1944.
She married Ralph Titch of Andes, who predeceased her, and George Truesdell of Hobart, who also predeceased her.
She is survived by her sister, Betty Utter (Leonard) of Margaretville, and her brother, Gilbert Close (Sue) of Downsville. She was a wonderful mother to her two sons and four daughters, Robert and Peg Titch of Hobart, Joan and Clarence Morell of Stamford, Barbara and Richard Klueg of Northville, Phyllis and Ron Bellows of Surfside Beach, S.C., William and Jean Titch of Phoe-nix, Ariz., and Carol and Robert Lemmon of Walton. She was greatly loved by her 13 grandchil-dren; three stepgrandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Catharine Davis and Janet Weaver; and a brother, Gary Close.
Dorothy was employed as a caregiver for many people during her lifetime and was especially known for her love of people, beautiful smile and very pleasant personality. A graveside service will be held in the Ouleout Valley Cemetery in Franklin at 2 p.m. Tues-day, May 23, 2006.
There will be no calling hours.
