LUCRETIA REEVES, 95, DIED SUNDAY
Lucretia Ann Reeves, 95-year-old Blair resident, died Sunday, January 30, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.S. Simpson, in Blair.
Mrs. Reeves was the widow of the late U.S. Reeves. He preceded her in death in 1951, two days after they had observed their 61st wedding anniversary.
She was born at Sidney, Iowa, May 9th, 1870.
Mrs. Reeves was the mother of five children, three of whom survive. They are Ruby, Mrs. Clarence Simpson of Blair; a son, Opal Reeves of the DeSoto vicinity; and a son Omer Reeves of North Platte. One child died in infancy and a son, Anson, died at the age of 24. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Lucy Racobs, of Sidney, Iowa.
Funeral services were held at the Campbell Mortuary Tuesday afternoon, February 1st. Burial was made in the Blair Cemetery. Pallbearers were all grandsons.
Mrs. Reeves was a member of the United Brethren Church.
