CENTER — Henry Dick Bieber, 74, Center, died Oct. 20, 2010, at his home peacefully surrounded by his friends and family after a brief battle with cancer. Services will be held at 11 a.m. CDT Monday, Oct. 25, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Center, with the Rev. Dennis Ristvedt officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Center Community Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. CDT Sunday at Barbot-Seibel Funeral Chapel, Hazen.

Henry was born June 13, 1936, at Churchtown, to Louis and Elizabeth (Meyhoff) Bieber. He attended country school in Churchtown and Otto Creek until the family moved to Center, where he attended and graduated from Center High School. Henry worked for the North Dakota State Highway Department, where he was employed for 28 years. He also worked for the Center Public Schools as a janitor for 42 years.

Henry enjoyed camping, fishing, trips to the casino and most of all playing and teasing his nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Henry is survived by one sister, Louise Eckenrode, Hazen; one brother, Louie (Rosie) Bieber, Vancouver, Wash.; his special cousin, Vonnie Stenberg, Center; two special puppies, Mya and Harley; one sister-in-law, Alice (Erv) Janke, Bismarck; one brother-in-law, John Renner, Beulah; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Katie, Lena “Caroline,” Hilda and Alma; and three brothers, Johnny, William and Bennie.
