CENTER -- Hilda Ganske, 71, Center, died Jan. 12, 2002, at a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. CST Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Center, with the Rev. Jon Erickson officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Center.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until time of services at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Center.
Hilda was born June 12, 1930, at Youngtown, the daughter of Louis and Elizabeth (Meyhoff) Bieber. She married Dormon Ganske on Oct. 24, 1954, in Center. They lived in many areas of the country before returning to Center in 1971.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Rolland Schwalbe, Center; two grandchildren, Garrett and Marissa Schwalbe; one sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Archie Eckenrode, Hazen; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Henry Bieber, Center, Louie and Rosie Bieber, Vancouver, Wash., Florence Renner and her husband John, Beulah, and Alice Janke and her husband Erv, Ypsilanti; one brother-in-law, John Yantzer and his wife Luwella, Mandan; two sisters-in-law, Phyllis VandenBurg and her husband Ed, Lark, and Arlene Skager and her husband Maynard, Billings, Mont.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dormon, who died Dec. 12, 1983; three brothers, John, William and Bennie Bieber; and three sisters, Katie Offenbacker, Lena Cuffe and Alma Bieber. (Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan)
