Mrs. Richard B. (Martha V.) O'Brien, 54, of 1518 South Sixth Street, died Wednesday evening at Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus. She was born in Ironton, daughter of the late George and Adeline Crabtree Burns.
She was a telephone operator with Ohio Bell Co., and was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Catholic Womens Club, and the Telephone Pioneers of America.
In addition to her husband, survivors include one daughter, Mrs. John (Tamara A.) Schwab of Ironton; one granddaughter, Jennifer Marie Schwab; four sisters, Dollie Jones, Nellie Davidson, Esta Davidson all of Ironton, Bertha Willis of Springfield, Ohio; three brothers, John and Robert Burns both of Ironton, and Denver Burns of Rosman, NC.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted 10:30am Saturday at St. Lawrence Church, with Fr James A Dirker officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
