Mrs. Geo. W. Burns

Mrs. Adeline C. Burns, 75, well known county resident, died suddenly at her home on Lawrence St. Rd. Tuesday at 8:45pm. She suffered a heart attack last Wednesday morning.

Mrs. Burns, a devoted wife and mother, was born in Jackson County on August 17, 1882, daughter of the late Ezra and Emily Glassburn Crabtree. She was married to George W. Burns on August 26, 1902, and has resided in Ironton area since that time.

Mrs. Burns was a charter member of the La Grange Freewill Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband; five daughters, Mrs. Noah Jones, and Mrs. George Davidson, of Ironton Rt. 3; Mrs. Wilson Davidson and Mrs. Richard O'Brian, of Ironton and Mrs. William Willis, Sprinfield, O.; three sons, John E Burns, Rt. 3; Robert F Burns, Florida, and Denver J Burns Ironton; 17 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren.

Four sisters, Mrs. Rule Mullins, Marion, Ohio; Mrs Ada Adams, New Boston, Ohio, Mrs James May, Columbus, and Mrs. Jerry French, Oak Hill.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2pm in LaGrange Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will be in the LaGrange Cemetery.
