LEWISTON, ID - Barbara Ann Salmon passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012, in Lewiston.

She was born Jan. 18, 1924, in Springfield, Ill., to J. Paul and Mary Lucy (Jones) Kienzle.

Barbara graduated from Springfield High School in 1942. She previously worked for the Illinois Youth Commission and the National Tea Co., before retiring in 1980 as a clerk for the Illinois National Guard.

She was a member of the Congregational-Presbyterian Church in Lewiston. Barbara enjoyed crocheting, candy-making, crafts, playing Bingo, and spending time with her granddaughters.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Sali Higgason; a sister, Margaret Grannis; and a niece, Nancy Purnell.

A memorial service was held on March 23 at the Congregational-Presbyterian Church in Lewiston. Memorial donations can be made to the Congregational-Presbyterian Church, 709 6th Street, Lewiston, Idaho, 83501.

Vassar-Rawls Funeral Home of Lewiston was in charge of arrangements.
