Utica Observer Dispatch, November 18, 1960 edition. Page 28. Obituary, Clinton - Leo J. Crane, Sr., 66, of College Hill, died in St. Elizabeth Hospital yesterday, after an illness of one week. He was born in Clinton on June 18, 1894, a son of James and Mary Finnegan Crane. He was a lifelong resident of Clinton and attended local schools. On Feb. 11, 1925, he married Catherine Cunning. He was a member of St. Mary's Church and its Holy Name Society . Mr. Crane operated a farm with his two sons on College Hill. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Leo J. Jr. and Edward V.; three sisters, Sister Agnes Edina, S.J., Amsterdam; Mrs. William P. Smith, Utica; Mrs Earl Peters, Clinton; three brothers, Michael Crane, Dolgeville; Philip and James Crane, both of Clinton; several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 8:45 Monday from his home and at 9:30 from St. Mary's Church, where a requiem high Mass will be offered. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
