Helen Madej (nee Sobieniak) January 20, 2012 at Our Lady of Peace Residence in Lewiston, NY. Dear wife of the late William J. Madej, devoted mother of Paul W. (Joyce) Madej and the late Joanne Madej. Beloved grandmother of Karen (Ronald) Russ and sister of Adele Pietraszewski. Predeceased by her parents Hipolit and Agnieszka Sobieniak, brothers Henry and Edward, sisters Irene Jekielek, Lottie Fura, Stella Kochan and Jessie Pyrciak. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their thanks to the many caregivers at Our Lady of Peace Residence, and their thanks to Dr. S. Lele and the Gynecology Clinic staff at RPCI for making the last ten years possible. In accordance with Helen's wishes there will be NO PRIOR visitation or services. Private burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Roswell Park Alliance P.O. Box 631 Buffalo, NY 14240.
