Ex-Rail Worker Dies
Hipolit Sobieniak, 79, of 1733 Cudaback Avenue, a retired New York Central Railroad Employee, died at his home Sunday (October 10, 1965) after a long illness.
He was born in Poland and lived in Niagara Falls for 53 55 years. HE retired from the railroad in 1951 after more than 40 years of service as a car repairman.
He was a member of St. Stanislaus PRCU, Group 853; the Woodmen of the World, Camp 211, and the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen of America.
Mr. Sobieniak is survived by his widow, Agnieszka Gendek Sobianiak; two sons, Edward and Henry Sobieniak; six daughters, Mrs. Robert (Lottie( Fura; Mrs. Stella Kochan; Mrs. William (Helen) Madej; Mrs. Henry (Jessie) Pryciak and Mrs. Stanley (Adele) Pietraszewski and one brother, Casimer Sobieniak, all of Niagara Falls.
Twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.
Services will be held at the Chester Tubinis Funeral Home, Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. and at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
The Rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

October 12th at 10:30 a.m. and at 11 o'clock from Holy Trinity Church. Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery. Recitation of Rosary Tuesday at 8 p.m. Friends may call Monday and Tuesday from 1 to 10 p.m. Members of the Woodman of the World Camp No. 211 will hold a memorial service at the funeral home, Tuesday at 7:45 p.m.
