Isabelle W. Milam
Isabelle Williams Milam, 75, of Danville, and formerly of Martinsville, died Tuesday, June 6, 2000, at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C.
A native of Franklin County, she was born June 10, 1924. She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence L. Blankenship, and her first husband, Theodore R. Williams. Her mother, Ida Mae Wright Blankenship, lives in Martinsville.
She was a graduate of Martinsville High School and, while living here, worked at Starling Pharmacy and was a member of McCabe Memorial Baptist Church. After moving to Danville she became a member of North Main Street Baptist Church and Stonecroft Ministries and BSF Bible Studies.
Surviving in addition to her mother, are her husband, Louis L. Milam of the home; three daughters, Brenda Lee Powell of Ridgeway, Carolyn Ann Gauldin of Matthews, N.C., and Yvonne Johnston of Hillsville; one son, Michael T. "Micky" Williams of Martinsville; one sister, Dorothy Barrow of Spencer; two brothers, Marvin E. Blankenship and S.G. Blankenship, both of Martinsville; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at McKee-Stone Chapel in Martinsville with Dr. Calvin Rains and the Rev. Tommy Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
The family will receive friends at McKee-Stone Funeral Services from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today.
